Job Description |
- Prepares working schedules and implements according to business needs.
- Checks daily reservation status and daily occupancy and takes necessary actions to ensure his/her outlets most efficient functioning.
-Handles guest complaints.
- Ensures that necessary actions are taken to achieve budget and profits in his/her outlet.
- Supervises the billing procedures followed in his/her outlets, and ensures that results are correct (software opening, closing of checks, balances, cashiering, etc.). - Implements new service procedures together with the EAM i.c. of Food & Beverage and the rest of the team.
- Follows up action plans discussed and agreed during Food & Beverage meetings, and as instructed by the Food & Beverage Office.
-? Presents instructions from the Food & Beverage Office to his/her subordinates and colleagues, and ensures clear understanding of them.
-? Presents suggestions and recommendations to the EAM i.c. of Food & Beverage in order to improve the operational efficiency of the unit. ?
- Welcomes guests and allocates table. ? Handles special requests.
-? Instructs on the set-up of stations, tables, linen, etc. and ensures that these standards are being followed. ? - - - Checks quality of food and beverage items in terms of presentation, temperature, quantity, etc.
- ? Ensures the cleanliness of the Food & Beverage outlets. -? Pays attention to the ambience of the outlet: lights, temperature, music type and volume, etc.
-? Ensures that all equipment for preparation and operation is clean and polished, and ensures that the necessary amount of equipment is available.
-? Coordinates with Engineering when repairs and/or modifications need to be done.
- ? Is familiar with all aspects of the hotel, including emergency procedures, fire alarm system, and computer systems.
- ? Adapts his/her shifts to hotel needs, may have to work split shifts.
- ? Performs any additional tasks assigned by the EAM i.c. of Food & Beverage.
-? Delegate authority to a designated member of the team in his/her absence.
-? Participates to in-house and external staff gatherings and activities.
- ? Follows up salary advance forms, salary slips, attendance sheets, training participants, employee of the month competition, up selling programs etc.
- ? Takes care of all the administrative work related to his/her outlet.
- ? Prepares a timely annual leave plan for its employees and ensures this is strictly followed.
- ? Approves requisition forms for necessary materials from store.
-? Places the necessary orders for flowers, newspapers, etc.
- ? Prepares and submits necessary financial and statistical information which is required by the EAM i.c. of Food & Beverage (i.e. 3 month forecasts, budgets, equipment request forms, guest comments).
- ? Provides the necessary information to the EAM i.c. of Food & Beverage regarding necessary FF&E items and investment when is needed.
-? Prepares a daily handover log book with details. ? Attends Food & Beverage meetings and any other meeting instructed by the EAM i.c. of Food & Beverage
-? Provides continuous training for his/her staff in all service related areas, as well as dealing with guests (guests receive prompt, cordial attention, personal recognition, etc.), suggestive selling, service skills, and product knowledge.
-? Develops periodical performance evaluations of his/her staff as per procedures.
-? Ensures that staff is aware of the provisions of Health & Safety regulations according to UAEn laws and regulations. -? Establishes and maintains effective employee relationships; assists in solving problems which might arise.
- ? Keeps himself/herself updated at all times on new standards and company or hotel procedures.
- ? Ensures that his/her staff motivation is at the best level.
-? Organizes and attends to daily service briefings with staff and ensures that service staff information&S217;s are correct and accurate.
- ? Maintains appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance and posture of departmental employees.
-? Controls the appearance (dress code, hygiene, etc.) of the service personnel on a daily basis.
- ? Must have an open personality and very good communication skills to provide the best inter-departmental and intra-departmental relationships.
- ? Must be fair with employees. |

German / Russian Speaking Preferred - Graduates
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel. ? Has a good level of spoken and written English ? To be aware of all Health, Safety and Fire regulations and to abide by their terms ? To ensure that junior members of the team are aware of Health, Safety & Fire regulations and that they too abide by their terms ? To maintain high standards of personal hygiene at all times and to ensure that junior members of the team are aware of and follow those standards ?
