Job Description Detailed Job Description, Duties and Responsibilities - Recruits, trains, and supervises employees in the Banqueting department. - Prepares working schedules and implements them according to business needs. - Prepares a timely annual leave plan for its employees and ensures this is strictly followed. - Prepares department budgets, and submits to the executive committee for approval. - Ensures that the entire department works at its best in order to meet/exceed the proposed budget. - Delegates authority to a designated member of the team in his/her absence. - Takes care of all the administrative work related to his/her department. - Provides the necessary information to the EAM in-charge of Food & Beverage regarding necessary FF&E items and investment when is needed. - Prepares and submits necessary financial and statistical information which is required by the EAM in-charge of Food & Beverage (I.e. 3 month forecasts, budgets, equipment request forms, guest comments). - Follows up salary advance forms, salary slips, attendance sheets, training participants, employee of the month competition, up selling programs etc. - Presents suggestions and recommendations to the EAM in-charge of Food & Beverage in order to improve the operational efficiency of the unit. - Presents instructions from the EAM in-charge of Food & Beverage to his subordinates and colleagues, and ensures clear understanding of them. - Checks daily bookings and reservations, and takes necessary actions according to the reservation details. - Implements new service procedures together with the EAM in-charge of Food & Beverage and the rest of the team. - Handles guest complaints. - Handles special requests. - Adapts his/her shifts to hotel needs, may have to work split shifts. - Controls the set up of the appropriate outlets in accordance with the daily events. - Supervises all catering events occurring in the hotel. - Follows up action plans discussed and agreed during Food & Beverage meetings, and as instructed by the EAM in-charge of Food & Beverage. - Coordinates with Engineering when reparations and/or modifications need to be done. - Pays attention to the ambience of the outlet: lights, temperature, music type and volume, etc. - Ensures that all equipment for preparation and operation is appositely cleaned and polished, and verifies that the necessary amount of equipment is available. - Places the necessary orders for flowers, newspapers, etc. - Authorizes requisition forms for necessary materials from store. - Prepares a daily handover log book with details. - Performs any additional tasks assigned by the EAM in-charge of Food & Beverage. - Is familiar with all aspects of the hotel, including emergency procedures, fire alarm system, and computer systems (Micros, etc.). - Participates to in-house and external staff gatherings and activities. - Maintains appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance and posture of departmental employees. - Controls the appearance (Dress code, hygiene, etc.) of the service personnel on a daily basis. - Develops periodical performance evaluations of his/her staff as per procedures. - Provides continuous training for his/her staff in all service related areas,

Specific Requirment German / Russian Speaking Graduates preferred Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing or Hospitality ? Has a very good level of spoken and written English ? Holder of a basic Health & Hygiene Certificate ? To be aware of all Health, Safety and Fire regulations and to abide by their terms ?
